Fluorescence examination for liquids: FILIN-N

FINIL-N is designed on the base of table top analytical cabinet ( dark room) , with possibility to observe the fluorescence of samples in 16 mm lab.tubes.  Three of them are put in the holder, and then inserted into the observation chamber.


The high power UV LEDs are used as an exitation sources. Their emission can be focused by silica lenses at the sample. The eyes of laboratory personnel are protected by transparent glass filter , to block the reflected and dissipated UV. 

This simple, but effective instrument can be additionally equipped by the document - camera (5 Mp .......to 12 Mp) .


Camera is mounted quite easily at the side wall of the device.


Instead of the camera, this small, but powerful  spectrometer with easy-to-use software can be mounted over front wall adaptor. This allows to record the fluorescence spectrum of the sample, to compare them, store and calculate the intensities at wavelengths from 350 to 1100 nm. Spectrometer MIKTRON-300 has no moving parts, gets connected by USB cable to PC, and can be calibrated with Hg -lamp (supplied with the device)  by the user.

The FILIN-N design allows to flip the device at 90 deg angle , and use it for investigation of solid samples, powders in a horisontal sample tray position, see photo:



In this configuration, same attachments (document-camera or MIKTRON spectrometer) can be also effectively used.

Research of fluorophores in liquid samples.  Determination of concentration of luminescent fraction(s)  in water and other solutions.  For example, SARA - this is Saturated Aromatic Resins and Asphaltens : content in soil, after simple preparation of sample.  Investigation of oil contamination of water. Special exitation wavelengths can be optionally added to the standard ones.

Custom ordered cut-off filtes can be ordered to escape from parasite illumination.
